CHICAGO (May 11, 2018) – Goldwind Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd., (Goldwind) (SZSE: 002202) (HK: 2208), participated in North America’s largest wind power exhibition, American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Windpower 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. During the week-long event Goldwind, a significant exhibitor at the show, welcomed thousands of guests to its booth and made a special announcement regarding its scalable 3MW(S) turbine prototype, currently the tallest installed turbine in the United States.
Over the course of the show, Goldwind exhibited along-side hundreds of other exhibitors at the show hosted at McCormick Place in Chicago, the North American headquarters of Goldwind. On Tuesday, Goldwind hosted a press conference at its booth to announce the final installation and comissioning of its onshore GW 3MW(S) prototype at the UL Advanced Wind Turbine Test Facility at West Texas A&M Univeristy in Canyon, Texas, USA. At the press conference, senior executives from Goldwind’s collaborators in the project – Broadwind Energy, Anderson Trucking Service, Wanzek Construction, West Texas A&M University, and UL – all spoke about the significance of this project in the U.S.
In North America, Goldwind participates in AWEA Windpower, Mexico Winpower and the CanWEA Conference & Exhibition. More than 50 Goldwind employees from the U.S. and China participated in the show – taking meetings, attending sessions and greeting potential vendors and clients at its large-scale exhibition booth. Goldwind looks forward to the remaining shows it will participate in during 2018 and is already preparing for a successful AWEA Windpower in 2019 in Houston, Texas, USA.
